Procurement guide
Wrong-machine purchases rarely come from a bad machine. They come from a machine matched to the wrong ground, slope, payload or cycle. This page places the ZL930 wheel loader, the TL-388 backhoe loader and the SLM2200 self-loading concrete mixer against the conditions each one is built for — and states where each one stops.
01 — The shortlist
Start from the work the machine does in a shift, not from the spec sheet. These are the three configurations our buyers order most, and the job each of them actually wins on site.

2-ton wheel loader
Lifting and carrying loose material on firm, gravel or packed surfaces: yards, stockpiles, road works and site haulage.

Backhoe loader
One machine for two jobs: trenching, footings and service runs with the backhoe, then truck loading with the front bucket.

2.2 m³ self-loading mixer
Concrete produced on site, where a batching plant or a ready-mix truck cannot reach: housing plots, rural roads, dispersed pours.
02 — Condition matching
Read down the left column. Where a condition lands in the middle columns, that is the configuration to specify — and the last column is what we will ask you to confirm before a unit is released.
| Site or job condition | Recommended | Why it fits | Confirm before ordering |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yard loading, stockpile, haulage on hard or gravel ground | ZL930 | 2,000 kg rated load and a 1.2 m³ bucket with 3,500 mm dump height clear both small tipper trucks and hoppers. | Material density, truck side height, cycle distance. |
| Digging plus loading from one machine | TL-388 | 0.3 m³ backhoe to 4,082 / 4,500 mm digging depth, with a 1 m³ front bucket for the truck loading that follows. | Trench width and depth, spoil placement, road travel. |
| On-site concrete, no batching plant within reach | SLM2200 | 2.2 m³ actual batch into a 4.1 m³ drum, slump 70–260 mm, self-loading with a 0.5 m³ bucket and 600 L water tank. | Slump, aggregate size, water access, pour cycle. |
| Soft soil, mud, demolition debris | ZL930 / TL-388 | Tyres can be specified as solid or wire-reinforced for puncture resistance; 4WD and wheel-end reduction axles on the loader. | Bearing capacity, tyre type, whether traction or flotation matters more. |
| Slopes at or beyond 26–30° | Engineering review | Published climbing limits are 30° (ZL930), 25–30° (TL-388) and 26 (SLM2200). Loaded, wet or cross-slope work reduces the usable figure. | Working slope, travel slope, cross-slope, load position. |
| Tight site, limited turning space | SLM2200 | 3,300 mm minimum turning radius and a 2,500 mm wheelbase — the tightest footprint of the three. | Gate width, turning envelope, overhead clearance. |
| Forestry, snow clearing, breaking | ZL930 / TL-388 | Log grabs, rotary log grapples, snow plows, breakers and mixing buckets can be fitted to both loader lines. | Attachment weight and duty cycle — capacity is derated. |
| Hot or cold climate | All three | The mixer is documented for −20 °C to +50 °C; engine and hydraulic specification are confirmed per destination market. | Ambient range, altitude, fuel and oil grade available locally. |
| Aggregate larger than 4 cm | Not recommended | The mixer is specified for crushed stone and cobble up to 4 cm diameter. Larger material is a mixing and wear risk. | Aggregate source and grading curve. |
Condition matching is the first pass, not the final answer. Two sites with the same headline numbers can need different tyres, engines or attach points — that is what the checklist in section 05 is for.
03 — Side by side
The same published figures, lined up. Use this when the shortlist is down to two machines and the decision has to be defended internally.

04 — Build options
Engine, tyre and attachment specification is where most of the real difference between two quotes sits. These are the options that matter on site.
Loader and backhoe configurations can be specified with:
The ZL930 is rated 76 / 85 kW at 2,400 rpm across these options. The SLM2200 runs the YN38GBZ 3.8 L engine as standard.
How to choose: the engine you can get parts and a mechanic for locally usually beats a small power advantage.
Two tyre specifications are available across the loader and backhoe lines:
Standard fitments are 16/70-20 (ZL930, SLM2200) and 14-17.5 / 19.5L-24 (TL-388). Match the tyre to the ground, not to the price list.
Fitted to ZL930 and TL-388:
Capacity effect: every attachment adds weight ahead of or behind the axle. Usable payload falls below the published 2,000 kg / 2,500 kg — we state the derated figure in writing for your combination.
05 — What we need from you
Send these and the selection stops being a guess. Most of them you already know from the site survey or from the last machine you ran.
Job and cycle
What the machine does per pass, and how many passes an hour. Loading cycles and pour cycles size differently.
Payload and discharge height
Material weight per bucket or per batch, and the side height of the truck or hopper it has to clear.
Ground condition
Hard, packed, soft, mud or gravel — plus what you know about bearing capacity where the machine will stand loaded.
Slope
Working slope and travel slope in degrees, and whether the machine ever works across a slope with a raised bucket.
Material
Bulk density for earthmoving; slump, aggregate size and grading for concrete. Aggregate above 4 cm rules the mixer out.
Site access
Gate width, turning space, overhead clearance and the route from port to site.
Climate
Ambient temperature range, altitude and dust. These drive oil grade, cooling and filtration choices.
Attachments and duty
The attachment and how hard it works. A breaker or grapple is a different capacity case from a bucket.
Quantity and window
Units per order and the date the first machine has to be on site — the tiered price breaks at 2 and 11 units.
06 — Where we stop
A selection guide that only lists what a machine can do is a sales brochure. These are the limits that come with the three configurations — and the ones that send a job to engineering review instead of to production.
Any of the following is either not recommended, or requires technical approval before a quotation is issued.
If your job sits in this list, say so in the enquiry. It does not end the conversation — it routes the job to a technical review where the limit, the derating or the alternative configuration is stated in writing instead of discovered on site.
07 — Commercials
The commercial structure, published up front. One unit is a valid order — the tiers are a price schedule, not a qualification threshold.
| Order quantity | Unit price | Lead time |
|---|---|---|
| 1 unit | US$6,360 | 7–10 days |
| 2–10 units | US$6,260 | 10–15 days |
| 11–30 units | US$6,100 | 20–30 days |
Lead times run from order confirmation. Confirm container loading and destination terms with the quotation — bulk units are loaded as a loading plan, not as a fixed box.
08 — Questions buyers ask
The five things procurement teams ask before they commit a machine to a site — answered with the numbers, not with adjectives.
Start from the work in a shift, not from the price. If the machine only lifts and carries loose material on firm ground, the ZL930 at 2,000 kg rated load and 1.2 m³ is the cheapest fit. If the same site also needs trenching, footings or service runs, the TL-388 adds a 0.3 m³ backhoe with 4,082 / 4,500 mm digging depth and 2,500 kg load-bearing — one machine instead of two. If the site consumes concrete rather than moving earth, the SLM2200 produces 2.2 m³ per batch on site with a 4.1 m³ drum.
Send us the cycle for a normal shift and we will confirm the match in writing before you order.
The published climbing abilities are 30° for the ZL930, 25–30° for the TL-388 and 26 for the SLM2200, which is also specified for working slopes below 30°. Those are not site permissions. A loaded machine on wet or loose ground loses traction below the published angle, and side-slope work with a raised bucket or an extended backhoe is a different case again.
Tell us working slope, travel slope and cross-slope separately. Above the published figure the job goes to engineering review rather than straight to a quotation.
Yes. Loader and backhoe configurations can be built with a Yunnei 4102 turbocharged, a Yuchai 4105 turbocharged or a Huafeng 4102 turbocharged engine; the ZL930 is rated 76 / 85 kW at 2,400 rpm across them. Tyres can be specified as solid or wire-reinforced. The SLM2200 runs the YN38GBZ 3.8 L engine as standard.
Choose the engine you can get parts and a mechanic for locally. The final combination, and the price effect of it, is confirmed on the quotation.
They do. Log grabs, rotary log grapples, snow plows, breakers and mixing buckets can be fitted to the ZL930 and TL-388, but every attachment adds weight ahead of or behind the axle and moves the centre of gravity forward or back. The usable payload drops below the published 2,000 kg or 2,500 kg, and a breaker or a grapple is a harder duty case than a bucket.
Name the attachment and the duty cycle in the enquiry and we will state the derated capacity for that exact combination.
The minimum order is 1 unit. For the ZL930 the tiered price is US$6,360 for one unit, US$6,260 for 2–10 units and US$6,100 for 11–30 units, with lead times of 7–10, 10–15 and 20–30 days respectively. Units ship bulk and unpackaged at roughly 4,500 kg gross each.
The TL-388 and the SLM2200 are quoted per configuration, because engine, tyre and attachment choices change the build. One unit is a valid order on all three.
Give us the job, the payload, the ground and the slope. You get back the configuration, the capacity left after your attachments, and a quotation — in writing, for the machine your site actually needs rather than the one that happens to be in stock.
No minimum order — a single unit is fine.
